The Oil and Gas industry in Oklahoma has put bread on our tables for generations in my family. My great grandfather was a wildcatter that owned his own small company called Geneva Petroleum. He employed my grandfather during the hard times of the depression and World War II. My mother retired from Kerr McGee Oil. My sister worked for both Kerr McGee and Chesapeake Energy and her husband retired from Kerr McGee. Her son still works for Chesapeake.
While I spent much of my adult life as a soldier, I know firsthand how vital the Oil and Gas sector is to Oklahomans. I also have advocated nationally with major editorials and opinion pieces on the need to expand our energy sector. This is a fight that is not only important to Oklahomans but it is vital to our national security and economy. I will continue to be a clear voice to prevent the energy sector from suffering the consequences of poor leadership in Washington.
