This herbal foot bath is perfect for relaxing, slowing down, unwinding, and taking a moment to nourish yourself. This year we have had a lot of time to look at ourselves, our culture, and our society. A time to even look deep into ourselves, and why we are the way we are. Maybe we have been advocating our whole lives, or maybe some of you are learning to become advocates as we speak.

Taking the time to nourish yourself in any way helps you find your reason for advocacy. An herbal foot bath helps to facilitate this time of nourishment and gives you a reason to slow down and reflect.

If you are looking for your advocacy or advocating your whole life, I want to welcome you and thank you for being here. I’ve been taking the learning and listening for the community very seriously, and want to take a time address this moment in history and support those who are advocating for a good cause in this world.

How Does This All Relate?

You may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with a Flower & Herbal Milk Foot Bath? Well everything really, as it will allow you to slow down, unwind, unravel, and nourish yourself. We can’t nourish those, around us without nourishing ourselves & this footbath will do exactly that.

So, what is an Herbal Flower Milk Foot Bath?

Traditionally, foot baths can be used as a way to pause, treat, and soothe your feet, while also allowing a time to connect with herbs. Each herb & flower has a different property that combine to make a nourishing bath for our hard worked feet. I’ve used foot baths as a way to relax, and decompress from the day. Sometimes, it’s too much to draw a full bath, but a foot bath is doable.

An Array of Flowers & Herbs to Add to Your Foot Bath

The best quality for this herbal flower milk foot bath is the way you can be creative with the healing flowers and herbs. Any combination that works for you is what you should put in your foot bath. Here are a few of the recommended flowers and herbs I use:

  • Rose Petals – Help with soothing grief, and makes for energetic heart medicine.
  • Chamomile – For easing tension and nervousness.
  • Calendula – Known to soothe the skin & bring vibrancy to dry skin.
  • Lavender – For calming & aromatherapeutic properties.
  • Lemon Balm – For its light and bright aromatherapeutic qualities.
  • Rosemary – Helps the body’s occasional aches and pains melt away.
  • Sage Leaf – Energy and mood cleansing.
  • Thyme – Known for its magical cleansing & healing properties.
  • Yarrow – Is known to soothe irritated skin.

What Kind of Milk Should I Use?

Adding milk helps to soften and moisturize the skin and make the foot bath more enjoyable and healing. You can use powdered milk such as coconut or goat milk. However, you can also use fresh milk, such as fresh coconut milk. I personally enjoy using canned coconut milk, because it is rich, lush, and creamy. Of course, you can make homemade milk too!

What Vessel Should I use For My Foot Bath?

I highly recommend using a copper bowl if you have access to one, but this is not needed. You can simply use a large glass bowl as well. However, I would caution against using anything plastic. The footbath is heated which could release chemicals in the plastic. We want to make sure you are getting only the purest and most nourishing properties absorbed during your foot bath and not some toxic plastic chemicals! Here is a similar bowl to the copper foot bath that I purchased for myself off of Etsy that I absolutely LOVE.
