Founders of Adventure Hunt, Jared and Sean Bingham, have created a business out scavenger hunts. They essentially pre-plan the hunts for groups of adults, with actual buried treasure that equals a trip and other exciting prizes.
After the intense and thrilling demonstration of the Adventure Hunt app, Jared and Sean began explaining to the sharks about their business’ financials. They discussed that the company was formed about 18 months ago, generating $769,000 in sales over the course of that time.
They also claimed that most of the sales had come in the current year. Additionally, the tiered registration pricing structure for Adventure Hunt scavenger hunt events, ranges from $30 and $100, depending on which tier the customer selects.
A complimentary welcome bundle is also included with all of the tiers listed on the company’s website, according to Jared and Sean. The brothers also point out that logistically, the app does most of the work for them.

The scavenger hunt will contain a list of about 50 or so things for the group to achieve, although, they only need to pick about 10 of them to complete.
With each item that’s accomplished, the team takes a picture of them doing it and uploads it to Instagram for verification. So far, the people who try it out, love it.
However, the brothers now need a marketing expert to help them see what they’re missing. Guest shark Bethenny Frankel chimes in and says she knows exactly what they’re missing.
She suggests that they make it more of a travel experience, with more thematic adventures. She then makes an offer of $150,000 for 25% equity in Adventure Hunt.
Additionally, her offer comes with a few conditions. She wants the guys to make some of the activities easy for those who are afraid to try new things, and she wants them to also develop avenues for corporations to use this for team building.
Further, Bethenny wants the brothers to partner with a dating service, so this can be used for that aspect as well.
Robert Herjavec quickly made an identical offer to Bethenny’s, but he wants to then hire some corporate players.
To simplify things, Mark Cuban dropped out. He says investing would be a conflict of interested due to his partnership with Rugged Maniacs.
Likewise, Daymond John drops out next, because he doesn’t like being around a lot of people, so it’s not for him.
Next, Lori Greiner drops out. Although she likes the concept, she feels that Bethenny or Robert would actually make better partners.
Sean and Jared then ask Robert and Bethenny if either of them would come down from 25%. Bethenny quickly says she’ll do it at 20% equity, but she wants an immediate answer.
Just then, Robert also comes down to 20%, matching Bethenny again. Again the brothers try to haggle them both down, to no avail, but they eventually take Robert’s deal.
Was that the right decision in the end? Keep reading our Adventure Hunt update to find out!
Let’s take a look at the Adventure Hunt update to see how the company is doing. The good news is that Sean and Jared did finalize the deal with Robert.
As agreed, the company expanded down the pathway that Robert envisioned, developing clients with several companies for these special events. The United States Air Force Academy has even used them for team building exercises.
Corporate events, scavenger hunts, and team-building exercises are all a part of the company today.
Give it a look to see if there’s a scavenger hunt in your city, or to customize your own, on the Adventure Hunt website.
